Kim Hak-sun, CEO of SunnyWaveTech, expressed confidence as the company nears commercialization of “magnetic surface wave communication technology.” This technology, selected by the Ministry of Science and ICT as one of the top 10 key technologies in its Radio Promotion Plan, focuses on eliminating communication blind spots by overcoming the limitations of traditional wireless communication in metallic environments.
After years of field testing and validation, SunnyWaveTech has proven the reliability and applicability of the technology. The company has now begun full-scale commercialization projects with major corporations in the shipbuilding, display, and semiconductor sectors. As a result, significant improvements are expected in communication, safety, and operational efficiency at industrial sites where wireless connectivity was previously a challenge.
CEO Kim stated, “Based on our domestic pilot projects, we have also established a solid foundation for expanding into the global market. We aim to contribute to industrial safety and automation through technology exports.”
Because this technology enables stable data transmission even within metal-enclosed spaces where conventional radio waves struggle, it is drawing attention as a new communication infrastructure across various industrial fields.
